Information:
Inte-Rota Assembly 2002, generated from
the two words, ‘Interact-Rotaract’, is a combined annual event that
provides training for both incoming Rotaract and Interact club officers
and potential members. It is a program designed to help both Rotaractors
and Interactors develop leadership and individual qualities.
Why Assembly?
- To develop qualities of leadership and
personal development;
- A program to exchange ideas, opinions and plans with different
categories of participants;
- Understanding the word ‘Teamwork’’
- Learn how to organise projects, conduct meetings and identify
projects that should be undertaken by the 4 service of avenues;
- Acquaint yourself with a premier service organisation and with
decision-makers in your community;
- Explore a new career path or learn more about your chosen field
through discussions with businessmen and professional people who
are already successful in those areas;
- Learn more about the Rotary’s programs for new generations, and
- Develop a special rapport among Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors.
How Does The Assembly Works?
The participants for the Inte-Rota Assembly will participate in
a joint community service project (8 November 2002) in Kuching and
a 3 days 2 nights (9 – 10 November 2002) workshop focusing on leadership
and professional development topics with interest to their specific
age group. Participants will be joining other talented young people
comprising of Rotaractors and Interactors.
There
will also be some outdoor activities and a fellowship session too,
so that participants will have the chance to meet and interact with
various groups of people.
The Assembly is organised by Rotaractors for Rotaractors and Interactors.
However, the seminars are conducted by various Rotarians, successful
businessmen and professional speakers.
The Assembly Agenda:
All Assembly programs include a wide range of leadership topics,
personal and professional development topics, motivational topics
and some current issues. The age group for the Assembly comprises
of secondary school students, college students and working adults.
The InteRota Assembly will provide a memorable opportunity to learn,
grow, have fun and make new friends in the process.
